Images > White Rock Lake

I've been walking at White Rock Lake several mornings a week for a couple of months now. Being a photographer, I can't resist taking my camera with me and "shooting" whatever catches my eye. This gallery is a journal of sorts - a depiction of the Lake and it's inhabitants that are encountered on my morning walks.

I walked right up on this heron before realizing he was there. Note the long white feathers on his head - his mating plumage.

This image was digitally manipulated to give the background a softer effect and the bird a more "arty" appearance.
