White Rock Lake
In spring and early summer, the cattails on the edge of the Lake are full of red-winged blackbirds. The males sing and show off the beautiful red patches on their wings in hopes of attracting females.
I love the texture of this image, the soft, muted tones of the background, and the silhouett-like quality of the bird.
